There are hundred if not thousands of Niches, but finding a Niche that works for you may be hard. Narrowing it down even harder. You want to get granular with your niche. Bring it down to a very small area of a big subject.

So how do you do that? There are many ways that you can do that. I am going to go over the way I found mine and why. And how it will help you find your niche.

Finding a niche that works

So let’s start off with what you are passionate about. I love technology but I also love helping other women out, and helping them to start their own online businesses. It is my passion. But there are so many things that I am passionate about. I love web design, which is my business that I do for my daily business. And I love to read. I’ve kind of incorporated that in to my business also. But it is not my niche, my niche is helping women learn to attain multiple streams of income through their business.

There are a lot of different things that can be in this niche. But I have tried to narrow it down to just a few areas of adding income streams to their business and limit it to who my ideal customer is.

Passion

My Passion is helping women who want to work from home and want to add additional streams to their income.

Now you need to narrow yours down, one way to figure it out is what you talk about and teach people already. Is it how to bake, how to grow plants, how to organize your home, or even how to get your kids to do their homework. If you can talk about it all the time then that is your passion.

I love the idea of a book passion such as how do I create an amazing review, how do I promote my favorite author. But I haven’t researched that enough, but I am assuming you could start a business doing that maybe a social media manager for an author, or a marketing manager, or just a book blog that you promote the books you have read with affiliate links and the new devices you use to do your reading. Or creating a reading journal and other reader merchandise.

Knowledge

My knowledge! I have done almost everything under the sun when it comes to online business, I have published books as an author, I have done MLM businesses, I have worked as a social media manager, I now work from home as a web designer, consultant and affiliate marketer. But how can that tie into my niche and how do I make it work for me?

I do it by being able to talk for hours about my passion, and it is something I can teach. I am not the best public speaker as my first live in my Facebook group proved to me today. But with everything, it is a learning process for me also. I am new to teaching about my passion. But I want you to become a teacher of your passion.

So, how can you earn money by teaching your passion? There are so many ways that you earn from your passion. If you are into working out you can create an online course, or you can find an affiliate marketing program that is in your niche of working out, have a Facebook group and teach people on there, Facebook now has paid events now and you can do on their platform. You can create eBooks to teach a process, you can even create digital downloads.

So how do you know you have enough knowledge about your passion to promote it. It is simple, you know more than someone. I’ve heard that everywhere and I am sure you have too. But it is true, you are always one step ahead of the person you are teaching. So the knowledge is there.

Profitability in the Niche that Works

The next step is finding out if your niche could be profitable.

Here are some of the most profitable niches of 2022:

  • Digital marketing.
  • Blogging and making money online.
  • Health and fitness.
  • Personal finance and investing.
  • Recipes and food.
  • Personal development and self-care.

But it is not limited to whether or not your niche won’t work or be able to make you money.

The best way to find out is through research. I would recommend going on Google and write your niche with how to or learn how:

Researching a Niche that Works

This is a quick example of looking for a niche. You see the above example and the items that people are selling on Amazon and Etsy. People create digital templates that help their ideal clients reproduce what they are doing. Or Books they create in programs such as Canva which is a free platform that you can design on.

Another place I would check out to see is Etsy, you can see what people are selling there and see if there is a market for it. Also, Pinterest is a big one you can do searches on it, just like on YouTube. I recommend researching all those to find out if your Niche will work.

Topics

If you notice in those circles where they intersect there are areas for topics. This is where you find the different things you can teach in your niche and how you granulate your niche so that you can find that elusive ideal client. And once you do that those ideal clients won’t be elusive they will be looking for your information.

And now you have found your niche. Once you do that you will start creating content around those topics and in your niche, and I highly recommend finding an affiliate program until you have your signature product ready that you want to do. I do affiliate marketing and it is one of the best business decisions of my life because it brings in more income than I make in my own business of web design. I promote all programs I use in my business and earn income from them. I also promote my own products.

In the next segment of this income stream subject, I will go into finding your ideal client and how to narrow that down. It is a trick I’ve learned through the years of my business.

But for now, take a look at my article on how to start affiliate marketing while you’re setting up your business.
