Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get help?

Email me here. This goes directly to me and I track all website requests and provide the best service to my clients.

What's included in the maintenance report?

Each month you’ll receive a detailed maintenance report that includes details about stored backups, updates that were completed, optimizations that were completed, analytics data, and security scans.

Do my support minutes roll-over?

Unused time does not rollover.

Do you guarantee my site won't get hacked?

We can’t make such guarantees, however, the processes I have in place make being hacked much less likely. If you combine my practices with strong passwords, really strong passwords and good security configurations, you can sleep well at night knowing your shiny new site is safe.

Am I locked into a contract?

You may cancel at any time in writing. Services will end at the time of cancellation or term you paid for. There are no refunds

What can I use my support time for?

You can use your time for content updates, design updates, graphic design, newsletters, bug fixes, or just getting extra advice. Overages will be billed at the standard rate.

What if I need help on my site down the road?

I am available by text, email and a phone call. I’m here to help you as much or as little as you need. I won’t disappear once the site is launched.

I'm on a strict budget. Do you have any low-cost options?

A custom website can be a big investment and not all small businesses have the budget for you. I will be offering a budget template package, soon, which will help you get you online with a nice-looking website fast.

Where should my website be hosted?

Hosting is super important! When it comes to hosting, you get what you pay for. I offer hosting through my company through Flywheel. That is who I recommend. But SiteGround is another that is great. Check out my hosting information here.

Who writes the content for the site?

I do offer copywriting at an additional fee.

When do I pay?

I offer a variety of payment options, varying from a one-time, up-front payment to three automated monthly payments. I understand this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible.
I accept debit cards, PayPal and all major credit cards.

Will my website be mobile-friendly?

Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendly website is imperative these days. A good majority of people now access websites through their mobile devices. I work hard to ensure that your website looks good on a variety of different devices.

Will you maintain my site for me?

Yes! Simply yes! I provide ongoing support for my clients. Depending on your needs I can put together an ongoing Support Package for you. Whether it is a basic update package or a more hands-on one.

Will I be able to update the site myself when it's finished?

That is an absolute YES! I love it when my clients take control of their shiny new site.

Do I have to be local to work with you?

Not at all. I work with clients all over the world. I work remotely and anyone I contract with works remotely. That way I can find the best solutions for you with the best people available.

Do you only create WordPress websites?

Yes. WordPress is an amazing content management system that now powers more than 30% of the web. Its huge market share is due to its flexibility and ease of use. And don’t worry, I will teach you how to manage it or I do offer WordPress management and maintenance. But either way, I will be there every step of the way.

How long will it take to get a new website?

On average, I shoot for a six to eight-week turnaround, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide me during the initial stage of the project, your availability throughout the project, and how soon all the content is ready – this all affects the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role. The more complex the more time it will take to develop.

How much does a new website cost?

There’s not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted on the needs of each individual project and client. Every site is unique and requires different components. I design and develop custom websites specifically for your small business. I will ask you a lot of questions, assess your needs and then give you a quote based on that assessment.
